Youth Baseball Tournament Rules and Guidelines:
Registration and Admission:
- Tournament fees are due no later than Tuesday, the week of the event, by 5 p.m. All tournament fees are non-refundable after this date/time.
- Tournament can fill up prior to this date. Simply calling the tournament director does not "hold" your spot. Only payment will reserve your teams spot within the tournament.
- All teams MUST be sanctioned by USSSA to participate in youth baseball tournaments at U.S. Cellular Community Park.
How to register through USSSA:
- Log onto www.usssa.com/sports/home.asp?Sport=11
- Click the “Create User ID” line at the top of the panel
- Enter in your information and submit
- Click on the “Register/Create Baseball Team” prompt
- Follow the prompts to enter in your teams information
- Once submitted, you must enter in your teams specific information (player information)
- Your team is now registered are able to sign up for tournaments
- Please note that once registered you will be given a team number. This number will help any tournament director find you in the system and allow them to enter you in their tournaments.
- Your information will not be visible to tournament directors until you are registered for your first tournament. Once you register and compete in your first tournament, your information will be visible to all other teams and tournament directors to see.

- Teams MUST present copies of birth certificates and USSSA printed roster to the Tournament Director upon check in.
- Park admission fee: $3 per day/$5 for tournament pass
- Children under 16, players and coaches admitted free
Scheduling:
- Tournament schedule and brackets will be posted online and emailed out to all teams by 5 p.m. Wednesday, the week of the event.
- Home Team is stated on the tournament board, until bracket play when top-seeded team is counted as Home Team (unless otherwise noted).
Park Rules:
- NO METAL CLEATS on the field turf under any circumstances.
- Sunflower seeds and tobacco are not permitted at US Cellular Community Park.
- Dogs are not allowed within the field complexes at USCCP.
- Alcohol is not permitted on US Cellular Community Park grounds.
USCCP Youth Tournament Innings Pitched Restrictions: (Based on USSSA rules)
- 10U-12U = Maximum of 6 innings in one day; Maximum of 8 innings during a three day period. USSSA Rule 8.05.C.1 "One Day Maximum to Pitch the Next Day" is waived for all tournaments.
- 13U-14U = Maximum of 7 innings in one day; Maximum of 8 innings during a three day period. USSSA Rule 8.05.C.1 "One Day Maximum to Pitch the Next Day" is waived for all tournaments.
- Teams must tabulate tournament pitch count sheet and verify with opposing coach; pitch counts are subject to random inspection by Tournament Director.
- Three outs for a pitcher equals an inning of work. One out counts as a partial (1/3) inning pitched.

- Umpires will be responsible for tracking the start time for each game and enforcing time limit rules
- If a game is ended due to the time limit rule and the score is tied, the score will revert back to the last untied inning according to USSSA rule 8.03.C
- Championship games will have no time limit. Mercy rules are still in effect for all tournament games
Seeding and Bracketing:
Bracket placement and tiebreakers will be determined based on the following:
- Head to head
- Lowest runs allowed
- Most runs scored
- Coin flip
Umpires:
- All umpires are USSSA registered, and will conduct rules via the USSSA rule book, except which rules are modified by discretion of Tournament Director.
- Each game will have 2 umpires on the field.
- All on-field complaints, questions, or protests must first be handled by the field umpire, or the Umpire in Chief. The Tournament Director does not override, adjust, or change any on-field initial ruling.
