NFL Flag Football League
Springtime is youth flag season in the Rogue Valley! The Medford Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with parks and recreation departments around the Rogue Valley, coordinates the NFL Youth Flag Football League for boys and girls between ages 6-12.

Join us for a fun-filled 7-game season that emphasizes basic skill development and teamwork in a fun, laid-back atmosphere. This recreational league is an ideal way to introduce your child to organized football.

Games are held at U.S. Cellular Community Park. Fee includes jersey, flag belts, protective mouthpiece and two free preseason instructional football clinics. Volunteer coaches needed!

Note to parents: The NFL Flag Football League is a 7-on-7 recreational league that serves as the introduction to team-play football in the younger age group or is a skill-builder for older children. Flag football is a different type of football than Pop Warner because scores and standings are not kept, and blocking and tackling are prohibited. Emphasis is placed on basic skill development, fundamental team play, equitable playing time and the insistence on creating a fun, accepting atmosphere. This league is not intended to serve as off-season training camp for Pop Warner coaches and established teams. Parents are asked to help create a positive environment by applauding the accomplishments of all participants and teams.

Special requests are accepted only at the Parent Meeting, and are considered on a case-by-case basis based on established criteria that is explained at the Parent Meeting.
