Tot Basketball League (Fall and Winter)Medford's youth basketball league will teach kids currently enrolled in grades K-2 some of the basic fundamentals of the game. Games will be held every Saturday for six weeks. Each week, players learn skills to help them with this introduction to the sport. Parents are asked to participate and help with instruction. Kindergartners will be placed on co-ed teams; first- and second-graders are placed on gender-specific teams. Cost includes a jersey and end-of-season award.

“Coach Mac” Basketball Clinics (Fall and Winter)
These super-affordable, well-organized two-hour clinics for boys and girls focus on fundamentals and offensive skill development through individual and group instruction. Ideal for kids participating in AAU or YMCA leagues. Clinics are conducted by longtime SOU men’s basketball coach Brian McDermott. This is a great opportunity for young players to see and learn from college-level coaches and players. Cost includes a basketball or a t-shirt. (Note: Cost is only $10 per clinic if child attended a Coach Mac clinic in Nov. or Dec. of 2009.)

NBA/WNBA iHoops Challenge (Winter 2010)
Showcase your shooting, dribbling and passing skills and take a shot at advancing to the regional championships of the 2010 NBA/WNBA iHoops Challenge. This local competition is free for boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 14 (bring a copy of your birth certificate). Boys and girls compete separately in three different ages groups (9–10, 11–12 and 13–14) in an individual test of both accuracy and efficiency.

The game camp features three hours of development led by longtime Southern Oregon University men’s basketball coach Brian McDermott, his staff and Raider players. Campers receive a half-hour skills clinic then play tons of organized competitions with a new set of teammates every day. Leaving town for a few days? No problem! Awards are based on individual winning percentage in the team format. Top performers receive MVP awards. Bring a water bottle. Each participant receives a free basketball or a T-shirt.
Ages: Grades 3-10
