Youth NFL Flag Football League

Note to parents: The NFL Flag Football League is a 7-on-7 recreational league that serves as the introduction to team-play football in the younger age group or is a skill-builder for older children. Flag football is a different type of football than Pop Warner because scores and standings are not kept, and blocking and tackling are prohibited. Emphasis is placed on basic skill development, fundamental team play, equitable playing time and the insistence on creating a fun, accepting atmosphere. This league is not intended to serve as off-season training camp for Pop Warner coaches and established teams. Parents are asked to help create a positive environment by applauding the accomplishments of all participants and teams. Special requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and cannot be guaranteed.

Spring is youth flag season in the Rogue Valley for 2024! The Medford Parks and Recreation Department coordinates the NFL Youth Flag Football League for boys and girls between ages 6-12.

Join us for a fun-filled 6-game season that emphasizes basic skill development and teamwork in a fun, laid-back atmosphere. This recreational league is an ideal way to introduce your child to organized football. No scores are kept in this league. Games are held at Lithia & Driveway Fields. Fee includes jersey, flag belts. Volunteer coaches needed!

Cost: $75 (residents); $81 (non-residents)

Age groups: 6-7yrs | 8-9yrs | 10-12yrs (Limit 80 per age group)

Youth Football Clinics

The annual youth football clinic provides fun agility drills and fundamental football skills under the tutelage of seasoned high-school coaches and players. Both clinics are free for NFL Flag Football League registrants.
